Ben Foster has showered one Chelsea player with immense praise after the Premier League win against Bournemouth on Saturday.

Chelsea recorded back-to-back away wins in the Premier League by securing a 1-0 success over Bournemouth.

For Blues head coach Enzo Maresca, he’s starting to make his mark during his first season as a top-flight manager in England.

ESPN recently reported that Chelsea’s players are enjoying training under Maresca. Hopefully, the team can go on a decent run of form before the October international break.

Ben Foster impressed by Robert Sanchez

Ben Foster thinks Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez was outstanding in his team’s away victory at Bournemouth on the weekend.

“Sanchez, man of the match [against Bournemouth]. Penalty save. A couple of very good saves in the game as well,” Foster said on his YouTube channel.

“He’s had a bit of a rocky start to the season… He physically looks like he’s an absolute athlete. A specimen of a goalkeeper. He looks like he’s got absolutely everything. Just sometimes some goals go in and you question his positioning. But in this game, he was incredible.”

Sanchez, 26, put in an excellent performance on the South Coast versus. In particular, the £25m star (BBC) made a superb save from a penalty kick to deny Evanilson.

Alan Shearer named Sanchez in his Team of the Week after the Chelsea keeper’s eye-catching display.

Big chance for Robert Sanchez

We’re not sure Sanchez deserved another opportunity to establish himself as Chelsea’s number one goalkeeper after losing his starting position last season. However, the change of management has worked in his favour and there’s signs he could yet succeed under Maresca.

The Spanish gloveman has played every minute so far in the league this term. It was great to see him keep his first clean sheet away at Bournemouth, too.

Filip Jorgensen appears to be the cup goalkeeper for the Blues under Maresca, but he’s clearly put his faith in Sanchez to play in the league.
