Brighton & Hove Albion manager Fabian Hurzeler watched Chelsea’s attack have a field day against his defence over the weekend.
Chelsea managed to beat Brighton 4-2, with Cole Palmer, Jadon Sancho and Noni Madueke causing the Seagulls’ backline so many problems on the afternoon.
Palmer scored all four goals for his side, while Sancho recorded one assist and also managed to win a penalty.
Tony Cascarino was quick to highlight Palmer and Sancho’s relationship after the game. Nottingham Forest are the next Premier League team who will have to find a way to deal with them, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side travelling to Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Fabian Hurzeler on Cole Palmer
For Hurzeler, Palmer is pretty much unstoppable in one-v-one situations and is an “amazing” footballer.
“They had one amazing player that punished every mistake we made,” the Brighton boss was quoted as saying by The Athletic.
“He punished every individual mistake. You can’t stop him in one-against-one situations. We have to defend against him as a team.”
Former Manchester City defender Micah Richards also waxed lyrical about Palmer after the game, claiming that he does not get enough credit for his movement.
Chelsea’s attackers dangerous one-v-one
Palmer is not the only man in Enzo Maresca‘s squad who can hurt defenders in one-v-one situations.
The likes of Sancho and Madueke can, too. According to WhoScored, Sancho is completing three dribbles per game, more than any other Chelsea player.
It shows that the former Borussia Dortmund star can get past defenders pretty easily, and it is no different for Madueke.
As per FBref, Madueke has ranked in the 85th percentile for successful take-ons among attacking midfielders and wingers over the last year.
All in all, then, Chelsea have some very dangerous attackers, with Palmer being the best of the lot.
Madueke and Nkunku have already scored hat-tricks this season, but there is probably not another player in Maresca’s squad who is capable of netting four goals in a single game. Palmer has proven that he can do that twice now since joining Chelsea from Manchester City last year.
