It has been another miserable weekend in the Premier League for Chelsea and their supporters.
Enzo Maresca‘s men lost 2-1 to Aston Villa on Saturday, which follows their 3-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion. It means the Blues remain outside the top four.
Chelsea were on course to secure a point, but an absolute howler from Filip Jorgensen saw Marco Asensio score in the 89th minute and win the game for Villa.
It was a bad mistake, but it is not the first that the Blues have made at the back this season. Unfortunately for Maresca, there have been a lot.

Chelsea second for errors leading to a shot and errors leading to goal
Jorgensen cost Chelsea a goal in their latest defeat and it proved costly. However, the 22-year-old is not the first to do such in the current campaign.
The mistake that occurred at Villa Park was the 12th that has resulted in a goal, with only Southampton having made more.
Chelsea have also made 35 errors that have led to a shot. Again, only Southampton have been worse offenders than the Blues.
Despite all of these costly mistakes, Chelsea are still in contention for a Champions League place, especially considering a fifth place finish could mean Champions League qualification at the end of the season.
However, if Jorgensen, Robert Sanchez and the rest of the team keep on making these silly mistakes, then Chelsea face another year out of Europe’s elite competition.
They have now got to bounce back when they take on Southampton at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.

Chelsea players who have made an error leading to goal
As already mentioned, Jorgensen is not the only Chelsea player who has cost the side a goal in the current campaign.
Sanchez has been at fault for several, while even Cole Palmer has been responsible for the Blues conceding on one occasion.
| Rank | Player | Errors leading to goal |
| 1. | Robert Sanchez | 5 |
| 2. | Marc Cucurella | 2 |
| 3. | Levi Colwill | 1 |
| = | Axel Disasi | 1 |
| = | Malo Gusto | 1 |
| = | Filip Jorgensen | 1 |
| = | Cole Palmer | 1 |
Palmer was not the cause of the two goals Chelsea conceded at Villa Park, but he did have one glorious chance to score when it was 1-1.
Palmer also messed up one pass that would have presented Christopher Nkunku with a golden opportunity to find the back of the net, which saw the attacking midfielder react quite angrily. Clearly, it is not a happy camp at Chelsea right now.
