Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is a fan of Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho.
Mauricio Pochettino was speaking to the Evening Standard and the rest of the English media ahead of Chelsea‘s game against Manchester United tonight and admitted he gets excited when he watches Alejandro Garnacho on the pitch.
The Blues boss identified the 19-year-old and Marcus Rashford as two players who his side need to watch out for later.
If Chelsea manage to beat United tonight, it will be their first win at Old Trafford since 2013.
Mauricio Pochettino hails Alejandro Garnacho as an exciting player
Pochettino spoke highly of Garnacho in his pre-match press conference yesterday.
He told reporters: “He is an exciting player, young and talented. It’s not surprising to us because we knew about him when he was in Spain before moving to Manchester. It’s good to see a young player being brave and showing the talent that he is showing.
“He is Argentinian and Spanish. He is the opposite of me because I am Argentinian-Spanish; he is Spanish-Argentinian. It’s exciting because it’s good to have these type of players for the national team and I’m excited to see him on the pitch.”

Alejandro Garnacho could punish Chelsea tonight
Garnacho is obviously in good form right now, recently scoring that incredible bicycle kick against Everton.
It is his pace Chelsea are going to have to be careful of, though, something that Pochettino has already mentioned.
One thing that United do well under Erik ten Hag is transition. If the Blues do not play this game right, then the likes of Garnacho and Rashford could end up doing some serious damage to them on the counter.
United have been up and down this season, but this is going to be a hard match for the visitors, who have not been consistent either.
When you look at Chelsea’s record at Old Trafford, a draw would not be a terrible result. But considering how Ten Hag’s side have been playing lately, they are surely there for the taking.
Chelsea just need to cut out some of their sloppy defensive mistakes and show some actual discipline for once, which means no red cards. If the Blues can do that, there is a chance of them winning this game. It is a big if when you analyse their recent matches, though.
