Last night saw Chelsea’s expected plans for the rest of the transfer window go through a big change.

It was reported that the Blues’ addition of Samu Omorodion had actually collapsed at the final moment.

The reasons given have been mixed, however it has already been claimed that Chelsea have turned their attention from Omorodion to Victor Osimhen.

The Napoli striker is a far more experienced name at the top of the game, and is less likely to have an impact on the development of the likes of Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu.

However, it has now been reported that the Blues got cold feet over the deal off the back of making a different signing.

Chelsea decided not to sign Omorodion after bringing in Pedro Neto

According to Marca, Chelsea changed their mind on their pursuit of Omorodion after they secured a deal to bring Pedro Neto to Stamford Bridge.

The Portuguese winger was unveiled to his new fans at half-time of yesterday’s pre-season friendly against Inter Milan, with many excited about the prospect of strengthening their wide men with his inclusion.

It remains to be seen if the decision was made due to the club deciding that they no longer need to spend money on a new striker, or if they feel there is a profile that suits their demands better.

Chelsea keen on Joao Felix

Reports following the Omorodion collapse have stated that the Blues are not done when it comes to doing business with Atletico Madrid, and have turned their attention to former loanee Joao Felix.

It has been claimed that Felix is really keen on a move to Stamford Bridge, despite the fact that his time at the club was marred with it being arguably the worst campaign in recent memory.

Osimhen rumours are likely to not go away either, and the fact Napoli are super keen on bringing in Romelu Lukaku suggests that this could carry on until the end of the transfer window.
