Enzo Maresca could be about to receive a double boost ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League tie with Bayern Munich.

Over the weekend, Maresca was without the likes of Estevao Willian, Romeo Lavia and Benoit Badiashile for his side’s 2-2 draw with Brentford.

Estevao was ill but has trained going into Wednesday’s game at the Allianz Arena.

It is great news for Chelsea supporters, who could yet end up receiving some more before the team’s trip to Munich.

Romeo Lavia and Benoit Badiashile spotted in training ahead of Bayern Munich clash

Lavia and Badiashile are yet to play a game this season as they slowly recover from their injuries.

However, both Lavia and Badiashile trained for the Brentford fixture and still appear to be working with the first team in a boost to Maresca.

In Chelsea’s open training session ahead of their opening Champions League match, the pair were seen with the main group.

It is unlikely either will start if they are fit enough to make the trip to the Allianz. But with fixtures in the Champions League, Premier League and Carabao Cup to come, it would be great to have them back.

On Wednesday, you would expect Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez to continue in midfield, while Tosin Adarabioyo and Trevoh Chalobah are likely to be the centre-back partnership.

How Chelsea staff feel about Benoit Badiashile

Badiashile has had a lot of injury problems at Chelsea, making just five appearances in the Premier League last season.

Nevertheless, the Frenchman still seems to have a lot of support at the club. According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Chelsea staff feel that Badiashile’s development remains on track despite all of his fitness issues and that he is ready to play Premier League football.

With Levi Colwill expected to be out for the majority of the campaign, Chelsea need all the bodies they can get. So hopefully Badiashile does return to action very soon and becomes a reliable option for Maresca.
