Chelsea fans are saying the same thing after Moises Caicedo’s display against Leeds

Moises Caicedo helped Chelsea record a very important 3-2 win over Leeds United last night in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Chelsea supporters on social media were all seriously impressed by one aspect of his game, too.

The Blues responded to the disappointment of losing Sunday’s League Cup final with a narrow victory.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side were far from their best in a close match against in-form Championship club Leeds, but Conor Gallagher came off the bench to score a 90th minute winner for the hosts at Stamford Bridge.

Next, Chelsea have a home tie in the FA Cup quarter-finals versus Leicester City.

Moises Caicedo, who played the full 120 minutes against Liverpool on Sunday, completed another full game against Leeds.

The 22-year-old midfielder is under scrutiny whenever he’s on the pitch because of his price tag, but his good performances are often overlooked by the media.

In our view, he’s one of the few Chelsea stars that can be delighted with their individual levels last night.

Speaking via The Liverpool Echo last month, Joe Cole said that Caicedo has been improving at Chelsea during his debut season at Stamford Bridge. It was another reminder last night of what he brings in the centre of the park.

Chelsea supporters on X loved what they saw from Caicedo against Leeds. In particular, they were all saying that the midfielder’s passing was super impressive.

We think he progressed the ball superbly well for the majority of the game. Also, his perfectly weighted pass assisted a Nicolas Jackson goal in the first-half.

One fan said: “Caicedo baller! Lovely assist. His passing upfront is too sleek, proper box to box.”

Another posted:”Caicedo’s passing in the final third is brilliant when he’s pushed up higher. Having a good season as a 6 of course, but we could utilise him a bit more.”

A third wrote: “It’s actually criminal to not play Caicedo as an 8. His passing is too good around the box.”

Another claimed: “Caicedo’s passing skill is so so underrated. That’s why Poch needs to play him higher.”

A fifth supporter exclaimed: “Caicedo is really growing man. He looks fast and strong and his passing game has always been strong. We might see the best of him when he gets to play a bit further up when Lavia returns from injury.”

Another said: “Caicedo is lowkey a better passer than Enzo and I don’t know how to feel about this information.”
