Moises Caicedo is beginning to really find his form now in Chelsea colours.
That is according to pundit and former Blues star Joe Cole.
Chelsea splashed out a British-record fee of £115 million (Sky Sports) to sign Moises Caicedo from rivals Brighton last summer, so you can understand why this first season at Stamford Bridge is under real scrutiny from fans and the media.
It was a slow start for the 22-year-old star in West London, which included a debut to forget.
However, there’s signs that the defensive midfielder is now flexing his muscles and regaining some of his best form. Let’s remember he was one of the Premier League’s outstanding performers in midfield while at Brighton.

Joe Cole has noticed a significant upturn in Caicedo’s performances recently for Chelsea.
“He’s a young man who just made his decision that he wanted to play football for Chelsea. And he’s improving, he really is,” Cole told the Liverpool Echo.
“And I know when you go to a club in a transitional period and big things are expected from you, but it’s all not working around you, it can be very difficult.”
Moises Caicedo finding form
We certainly feel like Caicedo’s becoming more and more integral to Mauricio Pochettino’s side every game.
He’s now doing a lot more of the fantastic industrious work out of possession, while his quality on the ball is very tidy.
Fans are seeing the midfield paring of Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez hit form at the same time, which is giving them great control in the centre of the park.
Speaking via The Sun earlier this week, Pochettino reiterated his belief that Caicedo can be one of the very best midfielders in the entire Premier League. This sort of public support should do loads for the player’s confidence!
We’re optimistic that Caicedo will end up making those early doubters feel pretty foolish about writing him off too soon.
It’s a big opportunity for him to put in a statemen performance tonight when Chelsea travel to Anfield to face league leaders Liverpool.
