RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko showed why Chelsea and other clubs targeted him in the summer with an impressive performance against Juventus.
While RB Leipzig went on to lose their Champions League encounter with Juventus in the end, Benjamin Sesko still managed to score two goals.
Chelsea told Leipzig they wanted to sign Sesko, but the 21-year-old decided to sign a new contract and stay in Germany.
He has made a good start to the season, scoring six goals in eight appearances.

Chelsea fans react to Benjamin Sesko strike
The first of Sesko’s two goals against Juventus was a powerful shot that went in off the crossbar.
Many Chelsea fans were impressed by it, taking to X to hail both the strike and the player.
@CFCDatro said: “Nah Sesko is the truth. Get him to Stamford Bridge in the summer.”
@CFC_HazardZone posted: “Sesko is the one we need at Chelsea!”
And @Teeno_CFC simply wrote: “Phenomenon”.
This is not the first time that Sesko has caught Chelsea fans’ attention. Chelsea supporters were also impressed with Sesko in Slovenia’s 3-0 win against Kazakhstan last month.
Benjamin Sesko’s stats
Last season, Sesko scored 18 goals in 42 appearances for Leipzig. At former club Red Bull Salzburg, he netted 29 times in 79 outings.
His numbers are really not bad for someone his age. The Slovenian is developing quite nicely and you would expect him to become more prolific as he grows older.
Sesko decided to stay at Leipzig for his development and he is unlikely to have any regrets as he continues to shine in the Champions League.
At some point, the Slovenia international will probably get a move to one of Europe’s top clubs.
Chelsea could find themselves going after his signature again after failing to sign a big-name centre-forward in the summer.
However, Enzo Maresca will be content with his current No.9 options for the time being, with Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku being among the goals during this early part of the campaign.
