Chelsea fans name man of the match in 4-1 win vs Panathinaikos, with over half the vote

Chelsea fans have voted for their man of the match in the Panathinaikos game on the app, and there’s one clear winner with over half the vote.

Enzo Maresca‘s side were rampant in Greece, as goal from Mykhailo Mudryk, Christopher Nkunku and a brace from Joao Felix sealed all three points.

The Blues put out a side very different from the one that started against Liverpool last weekend, and it paid off as a number of the more fringe players enjoyed very good games.

Mudryk was one of the stars of the show, earning praise from Jason Cundy for what was one of his best Chelsea performances in a long time.

It’s good to see Joao Felix step up and take an opportunity too, putting pressure on Maresca to turn to him in Premier League games moving forward.

Interestingly, Chelsea fans had their say on the man of the match after the game, and one player got over half the vote.

There were a number of players who could have picked up the award, but typically fans will take a look at the goalscorers and go from there in a high scoring game.

Mudryk, Nkunku and Felix are the obvious ones and it was one of those players who the fans opted for.

Chelsea announced that Misha was the winner of our Player of the Match award during the 4-1 victory, as voted for by supporters on the Official Chelsea App, earning 58 per cent of the vote.

Hopefully this is a sign of things to come for the Blues, with a fit and firing Mudryk adding a lot to Chelsea’s charge in the current campaign.

Mykhailo Mudryk’s season to date at Chelsea

Enzo Maresca admitted that Mudryk’s goal was straight off the training ground, so things are clearly working and he’s listening.

However, Mudryk was a bit calmer after this match, as he took a cheeky swipe at his doubters after scoring for Ukraine during the international break.

It’s been claimed that Chelsea view Mudryk as a top talent despite his poor start, so it appears as if the Ukrainian is showing enough in training.
