Chelsea feel £25m player has already won them so many points this season

Cole Palmer has been Chelsea’s match-winner since joining the club from Manchester City in a £45m deal last year.

For example, Cole Palmer recently scored the decisive goal in Chelsea‘s 2-1 victory over Newcastle United in the Premier League.

Nicolas Jackson has also won games for the Blues since arriving in west London, grabbing a brace in his side’s 3-0 win against West Ham United in September. Under Enzo Maresca, Gianfranco Zola thinks Jackson has really improved.

However, according to figures at Chelsea, Palmer and Jackson are not the only players earning points for the club at the minute.

Chelsea recognise Robert Sanchez’s contribution this season

In the current campaign, Robert Sanchez has come under fire for making some costly errors during games.

Some Chelsea fans want Sanchez replaced after his latest gaffe, a penalty he conceded in the Blues’ 1-1 draw with Manchester United last weekend.

The above is unlikely to happen, though, with GiveMeSport reporting that Chelsea believe that Sanchez has actually won them a lot of points this season.

The 26-year-old will be hoping to earn his team even more when they take on Arsenal this weekend.

There is no denying that Sanchez has made some big mistakes in the Premier League this term.

However, there have been a couple of games where without the Spaniard, Chelsea may have actually dropped points.

The West Ham victory is one example. In the end, the Blues won convincingly, largely thanks to Jackson. But Sanchez also played his part as his stats on Sofascore show.

If Sanchez is to remain as the No.1 goalkeeper at Stamford Bridge, then he needs to eradicate all of these errors out of his game. If the former Brighton man can do that, based on the above, Chelsea could end up having a very reliable shot-stopper between their sticks.
