Chelsea are expected to look to the transfer market to address the striker position this summer, with them currently experiencing a number of issues.
Enzo Maresca currently doesn’t have a first team option to choose from. Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu are both injured after picking up issues on deadline day of the January transfer window.
This has led to the manager needing to get creative, and he has found some success using Pedro Neto up front in their last two games.
This is obviously not a long-term solution though, and the Blues are going to need to spend big if they want to bring in serious competition for Jackson.

Chelsea handed great chance to sign Benjamin Sesko
One of the names who has strongly been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge is RB Leipzig frontman Benjamin Sesko.
Chelsea scouts have watched Sesko this season and will likely have been impressed with what they have seen as a result of his 10 goals so far in the Bundesliga.
| Benjamin Sesko stats 24/24 | Total |
| Games | 23 |
| Goals | 10 |
| Assists | 4 |
| Shots | 46 |
| Dribble success | 50.9% |
| Duels won | 95 |
The forward has picked up plenty of praise for his performances since coming through as a regular starter. Former Director Christopher Vivell described him as ‘special’ to the Bundesliga website.
The Blues are not the only team pushing to sign the young striker, with Arsenal also big fans of Sesko and needing a new striker despite their seven goals in the Champions League last time out.
Chelsea may have been handed a boost in their efforts to sign the Slovenia international, as according to The Mirror their shortcomings in this season’s European campaign have seen them miss out on a record amount of prize money.
The Bundesliga side won just one of their eight group games and missed out on a place in the knockout stages.

Jurgen Klopp likely fuming at Chelsea’s Sesko interest
Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was brought recently as Red Bull’s new Global Head of Soccer, being tasked with changing the culture surrounding their clubs.
Leipzig have been known for parting ways with their top talents as soon as interest comes around. They have lost both Christopher Nkunku and Timo Werner to Chelsea as a result of this process in the past.
However, the aforementioned report stated that their vision is to keep hold of their top talents themselves, with them not having a better player than Sesko in their ranks right now.
Losing the striker would prove there has been no change to the process, and highlight the magnitude of the job Klopp has in front of him.
Chelsea are big fans, and will keep themselves involved in the conversation should he be allowed to depart when this season comes to an end.
