Chelsea scouts are keeping tabs on the action at the World Cup, and have put forward the name of Ayyoub Bouaddi as a potential signing this summer.
The Blues are set to get their transfer business underway this summer with the signing of Marco Palestra, after Xabi Alonso hijacked the deal that looked set to send him to Inter Milan.
However, there are a number of other positions Chelsea need to strengthen this summer, and a central midfielder will become even more of a priority if Enzo Fernandez gets the move to Real Madrid he desires.

Chelsea discuss signing World Cup star Ayyoub Bouaddi
When it comes to World Cup performers though, few have hit the heights of Morocco youngster Ayyoub Bouaddi, with them sitting on four points from their opening two games.
His displays have reportedly caught the eye of a number of top sides, with Chelsea now being on that list as of this week.

Simon Phillips has stated that Chelsea are looking into a move to sign Bouaddi this summer, although face stiff competition for his signature.
He said on his Substack: “Our sources confirmed that Chelsea are now also looking into a move to sign Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, who has been making waves in the current World Cup with Morocco.
“Of course, he is also wanted by many of the top clubs, so Chelsea would have a real fight on their hands here should they choose to make a move for him. But he’s absolutely been discussed at Chelsea this week.”

Bouaddi has already outplayed fellow Chelsea target at the World Cup
Bouaddi really grabbed the headlines with his performance at the heart of midfield in their opening game of the World Cup against Brazil.
Carlo Ancelotti’s midfield had no answer for him, which included Premier League star Bruno Guimaraes.
Chelsea have already been linked to Guimaraes this summer, with the Blues potentially looking to capitalise on Newcastle’s need to sell in the transfer window.
Rumours of that move have died down slightly since the Magpies parted ways with Anthony Gordon, after Barcelona were told no about signing Joao Pedro.
