While Chelsea were unable to match their September brilliance during the month of October, there were still some very impressive moments to look back on.

Enzo Maresca was named official Premier League Manager of the Month for September, with him having some serious individual performances to look back on and be proud of.

A lot of these came from Cole Palmer, who has picked up where he left off from in his first season at Chelsea.

Jamie Carragher has named Palmer the best player in the league this season, with him producing moments not just to score goals this season but also create them.

Nicolas Jackson handed Goal of the Month for October

The latter was the case when the Blues lined up against Newcastle at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League. The new look midfield of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia leaves a lot of the creative burden on the England international.

He picked up the ball in his own half before playing a glorious pass in behind to Pedro Neto to run on to.

The Portugal international has clocked higher speeds than Mykhailo Mudryk this season, evident again in this scenario, getting to the ball first before squaring to Nicolas Jackson for a routine finish.

While the goal did not have the typical flair brought by the finish, the team element of the strike saw BBC Sport name it as their goal of the month.

Moises Caicedo already a contender for November Goal of the Month

Chelsea already have a candidate out there for the goal of the month for November with their only goal so far.

Moises Caicedo’s stunning strike against Manchester United rescued a point for an underwhelming Blues at the weekend, and saw him find the net for the first time this season.

While Chelsea fans are more than used to his general-like performances in the middle of the park of late, finding the net did see him finally get the praise he has deserved for a number of months now.
