The players who are currently on loan away from Chelsea will all be hoping that their performances see them eventually become key players at Stamford Bridge.
The likelihood is far lower for some players than others. No one can really imagine Raheem Sterling being a starter at Chelsea again after the manner of his exit from the club.
Some of the younger players who are away from the club at the moment are those most likely to make an impact in the future.
Arguably the strongest performer of the campaign has been Andrey Santos over at Strasbourg. Santos’ performances have seen him named in the U21 Team of the Season so far.
One of his club teammates, Djordje Petrovic, has also made a real impact on his new side whilst on loan from Chelsea.

Djordje Petrovic has chance to return to Chelsea
Staff at the club have reportedly been impressed by Petrovic on loan, although it remains to be seen if the Blues look to the goalkeeper who started the majority of their games last season.
He was described during the last campaign as ‘fantastic’ by manager at the time Mauricio Pochettino.
According to BBC Sport, the door has remained open for the Serbian to still return to Stamford Bridge, where the goalkeeper situation remains uncertain at the moment.
Filip Jorgensen seen as perfect for Enzo Maresca
Robert Sanchez has started every Premier League game so far this season, in the face of supporter unrest at the fact he is their number one.
Reports have stated there is faith at the club that summer signing Filip Jorgensen fits Enzo Maresca’s style perfectly, however he is yet to feature outside of the cup competitions this season.
The young Danish goalkeeper has impressed when given the chance between the sticks, and is hoping he is given his chance in the Premier League soon.
Strasbourg are back in action this weekend as they take on Nice, while Chelsea will be making the trip to Leicester to take on Maresca’s former side.
