Enzo Maresca will be delighted at the fact that he can take his Chelsea side into their next game fresh off a win in that competition.
It had been five league games without a win on Monday before the Blues proved too strong for relegation-threatened Wolves.
It wasn’t all plain sailing for Maresca’s side. A Robert Sanchez error had gifted his opposition a route back into the game late in the first half.

However, two quickfire goals from Marc Cucurella and Noni Madueke saw them quickly head out of sight.
Trevoh Chalobah named in Premier League Team of the Week
The latter’s goal was a tap in on the line, after Trevoh Chalobah had threatened to score from a header on his return to the Chelsea squad.
Madueke had to explain why he stole the goal off Chalobah, however just because he didn’t find the net does not mean that the defender didn’t enjoy an excellent display.
Chalobah was given a lot of love from The Chelsea Chronicle’s player ratings, and this seems to have been echoed by others too.
One of those is Alan Shearer. The former striker told the Premier League’s official website that it looked as if he had never left Stamford Bridge, while naming him in the Team of the Week from the last set to fixtures.

He said: “Slotted in seamlessly after returning from his loan spell at Crystal Palace and very nearly scored, with his team-mate Noni Madueke stealing the goal on the line!”
Trevoh Chalobah’s Chelsea future
It has been reported that the plan still remains in place for Chalobah to leave the club permanently at the end of the season.
Even Chalobah himself doubts he will be kept by Chelsea, with him needing to play out of his skin for the next few months to be under consideration to be kept.
Nevertheless, the English defender has made an excellent start to his return in West London, impressing former coach and now England boss Thomas Tuchel in the process.
