Chelsea have surprised plenty of people with their form in the opening quarter of the season, and there’s been some exceptional individual performances during that time.

Yes, there’s a lot of talented youngsters in this Chelsea squad, which has been expensively assembled. However, many were sceptical about the impact that head coach Enzo Maresca could make during his first season as a Premier League manager.

So far, Maresca has exceeded exceptions to put the Blues third in the league table during the November international break.

Ian Wright thinks Maresca has been ruthless as Chelsea boss when it comes to making big decisions with the squad.

Chelsea duo Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke with standout performances

WhoScored has released a list of the highest rated individual performances so far from the 2024/25 Premier League season. Interestingly, Chelsea attackers Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke sit top of the pile.

Blues star Palmer, 22, has enjoyed the league’s best individual display this campaign after scoring four goals in a 4-2 home win over Brighton back in September. Alan Shearer called Chelsea talisman Palmer “special” after the masterclass versus Brighton.

Meanwhile, Madueke ranks second for the memorable display in a 6-2 away win at Wolverhampton Wanderers in August, where he scored a hat-trick. Gabriel Agbonlahor hailed Madueke’s “outstanding” performance in the Wolves victory.

Chelsea have so many match-winners

On top of Palmer and Madueke, Chelsea have so many others in their squad that can win them a game of football. The attacking firepower makes them such a huge threat this year.

Here is a look at the goals scored by some of the Blues forwards in this 2024/25 season:

PlayerGoals (All competitions)

If Chelsea can just tighten up defensively, this feels like it could yet be a really significant campaign for the club where they achieve some big things.
