Chelsea are again going to be active in the transfer window in the year of 2025.
It remains to be seen if they break their rule from last season regarding the January transfer window. They didn’t sign any players to add to Mauricio Pochettino’s squad at that time.
However, it has been made clear that they are hopeful of adding a new defender to their ranks at some stage during the next 12 months.
The highlight addition on paper during the last transfer window was Tosin Adarabioyo, although he didn’t cost the Blues anything in transfer fees after his contract expired with Fulham.

Chelsea make contact over signing Tomas Araujo
Fabrizio Romano has said the Blues are big fans of Tomas Araujo, who is currently a regular at the back for Benfica.
The 22-year-old is one of the most promising central defenders in Europe right now, with there no doubt being a number of top teams keeping an eye on him.
According to the O Jogo Newspaper (Tuesday November 12), Chelsea are one of a host of Premier League clubs who have made contact with the Champions League side about potentially signing him.
SportWitness have reported that the defender has a £83m release clause in his current deal, although stated any interested party would be looking to get this down.
Enzo Maresca backing Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwill
Enzo Maresca has not had much confidence in any central defenders past his main duo in the Premier League this season.
He has started Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwill in every game they have been available for this season, and they have been repaying that faith with their performances.
Fofana believes his display against Arsenal was his best since joining the club, and Colwill has been impressing every week since he has finally had regular minutes in what he would say is his strongest position, rather than left-back.
