Chelsea make contact with Champions League side about signing £66m attacker who has already dominated Man City

With just five games of the season to go, attention is already beginning to turn to the summer transfer window and its importance for Chelsea.

Enzo Maresca is expected to remain in charge of the club whatever happens in the final few weeks of the campaign, and the recruitment will be crucial in allowing him to succeed.

It has been reported that Chelsea will be going big in the summer transfer window, with a number of positions set to be addressed.

One of those is winger. The Blues have not been as impressed as they would like to have been with Jadon Sancho since bringing him in on loan at the start of the campaign, with his future very much in the air right now.

Chelsea make contact over signing Kenan Yildiz

There are a number of players on Chelsea’s shortlist, with one of those being Juventus attacker Kenan Yildiz.

The Blues maintained an interest in the Turkish international in the January transfer window, with Chelsea prepared to offer big money to sign Yildiz.

Their interest has not gone away, and according to Foot Mercato, the Blues have now made contact with the Serie A side about the possibility of signing him this summer.

Previous reports have stated that Juventus are holding out for a fee of around £66m, which would take up a sizeable part of Chelsea’s budget before selling players.

Yildiz’s dominant display against Manchester City

Yildiz was a regular in the Champions League for Juventus this season before his side were knocked out of the competition, with them facing Manchester City in the group stage section.

The Italian side won 2-0, with the Turkish star putting on a dominant display, picking up an assist.

The Blues have been linked with a number of wingers ahead of the summer transfer window. Jorge Mendes is trying to get Rafael Leao a move, with him in contact with chiefs at Chelsea.

They are also interested in Jamie Gittens, with it being claimed that the Blues are favourites to sign the Borussia Dortmund man this summer.
