Chelsea have made Morgan Rogers one of their top transfer targets for this summer transfer window, and are now preparing a bid worth £90m for his signature.
The Blues are in desperate need of attacking output to be added to their side after the likes of Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens failed to hit the ground running last season.
Rogers, who is set to play a role for Thomas Tuchel’s England during the upcoming World Cup, has impressed greatly for Aston Villa both domestically and in Europe.

Chelsea preparing £90m bid for Morgan Rogers
This has seen him become a target for a number of top clubs, although Chelsea think they hold an advantage over the likes of Arsenal because of their ability to offer him a regular starting position.
Now, journalist Aaron Ramiro has stated that Chelsea are ready to make a £90m bid for Rogers, although Villa are holding out for even more to part ways.

He said: “Chelsea are preparing a £90m proposal for Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, but Villa are holding out for around £100m to sanction a sale.”
The move would see Rogers and Cole Palmer reunite, after they became great friends during their time in the Manchester City academy.
He would bring an ability to play both out wide and in the number 10 role, versatility which Xabi Alonso is no doubt looking for.

Rogers’ stance on Chelsea
Despite the fact Chelsea cannot offer any potential new signings European football next season, it is believed Rogers has not yet said no to a move to Stamford Bridge.
He has been a target of Chelsea’s for a number of years now, and numerous managers have brought their style of play to the club in that time.
Alonso’s could be the perfect one for Rogers though, with him showing a previous use of wingers in more central areas.
The Blues will have to work around him being at the World Cup for the next month, although Tuchel has made it clear his players will be allowed to sort out future moves while they are there.
