Chelsea remain firmly in the race to sign Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa this summer, and believe they actually hold an advantage over the likes of Arsenal to bring him in.
Rogers has been a well-documented target of the Blues for a number of seasons now after his impressive form for Villa, both domestically and in Europe.
So far, Rogers has not rejected Chelsea, however is the subject of interest from other Premier League sides who can offer him Champions League football next season.

Mamadou Sarr is being slept on…
Chelsea are facing this issue when it comes to a number of transfer targets this summer, although will be hoping that the hiring of Xabi Alonso can play a part in convincing players to join them.
Also, their status as a sleeping giant who desperately need new starters is an attractive proposal, and one that Chelsea believe can assist them in their pursuit of Rogers.

The Bluesfeed have reported that Chelsea’s ability to offer the England star a regular starting spot in the side means they see themselves in a ‘unique’ position in the race to sign him.
They said: “The Bluesfeed understand that Chelsea believe they are in a unique position in the race for Morgan Rogers. They can offer Rogers a clear starting role, either from the left or as a No.10. Arsenal and Manchester United both currently have other priorities and squad issues to address.”

Chelsea see Rogers as the perfect signing
After laying down the groundwork for months on the potential signing, it is no surprise Chelsea are massive fans of the player.
The Blues believe Rogers has the perfect traits to join their side, including his ability to play in multiple positions.
Signing the England international would see him linking up with Cole Palmer, after the pair came through the Manchester City academy together.
The duo are great friends, and Rogers could provide the catalyst needed to get the best out of Palmer in a Chelsea shirt again.
