Chelsea’s first-team player has been named in the latest Premier League Team of the Week after the recent win over Fulham.
On Sunday afternoon, Chelsea produced a vital comeback victory away to local rivals Fulham in the Premier League.
Enzo Maresca’s side collected three points at Craven Cottage because of two late goals in a 2-1 success. In the current race league table, they sit just outside of the top five spots that will secure Champions League qualification for next season.

Chelsea star Pedro Neto included in Premier League Team of the Week
Chelsea winger Pedro Neto, 25, scored a fabulous 93rd-minute winning goal to clinch three points away to Fulham. He unleashed a powerful half-volley past goalkeeper Bernd Leno in stoppage time to keep up the team’s hunt for Champions League qualification.
As a result, Neto has been included in WhoScored’s Premier League Team of the Week.
| Player | Club | Rating |
| Mads Hermansen | Leicester City | 7.79 |
| Pedro Porro | Tottenham | 8.27 |
| James Tarkowski | Everton | 7.64 |
| Illia Zabarnyi | Bournemouth | 7.57 |
| Nico O’Reilly | Manchester City | 8.22 |
| Bryan Mbuemo | Brentford | 10.0 |
| Elliot Anderson | Nottingham Forest | 8.47 |
| Martin Odegaard | Arsenal | 8.47 |
| Pedro Neto | Chelsea | 8.27 |
| Ollie Watkins | Aston Villa | 9.12 |
| Leandro Trossard | Arsenal | 8.77 |
It was just second the time that the Blues wide man has been included in a Premier League Team of the Week during the 2024/25 season. Back in October, Neto was in the Team of the Week after helping Chelsea win 2-1 at home to Newcastle United.
On top of Neto’s goal against Fulham, his all-round play was dangerous as he provided an attacking threat for the entire 90 minutes.
| Goals | Shots | Shots on target | Key passes | Passing accuracy | Fouled | Accurate crosses |
| 1 | 3 | 2 | 2 | 93.6% | 2 | 3 |
Even though he started on the left flank, Neto moved over to the right wing in the second period. Ultimately, we feel he can nail down a permanent starting position if he just ramps up his end product a bit.
Maresca admitted Neto is better on the right of the attack after his contribution against Fulham, but he can’t always play there because of Noni Madueke’s presence.

Pedro Neto will be judged by his numbers
It’s been an encouraging debut season at Stamford Bridge for Neto since he joined from Wolverhampton Wanderers last summer, but he’s perhaps falling a bit short with his end product.
In 39 games across all competitions this season for Chelsea, Neto has scored six goals and provided seven assists. For a player of his individual ability, it does feel a tad light.
Blues co-owner Behdad Eghbali pushed Chelsea’s pursuit of Neto last summer, so we expect him to get more time to come good in West London. It helps that he’s on a long-term deal that doesn’t expire until 2031, too.
The hope for every supporter should be that Neto evolves into the type of modern winger who can contribute with 10-plus goals and 10-plus assists every season.
