It looks as if Chelsea are going to keep us entertained all the way until deadline day of this summer transfer window.
Their late business has shifted greatly in recent days, with a move for Samu Omorodion collapsing in dramatic fashion.
It has been claimed that a striker is still high on the agenda this month, and it was reported that they had shifted their attention from Omorodion to Victor Osimhen instead.
The Napoli man has been a long-term target of the Blues, and there is certainly potential to be explored in a deal that also involves Romelu Lukaku.
Chelsea are still looking closer to home too as they look to address the striker role, with Ivan Toney being a name constantly linked with the switch across London.

Chelsea sense chance to sign Ivan Toney
Journalist Simon Phillips has claimed that the Blues are sensing a chance that a deal could be achievable this month.
He said on Substack: “SPTC sources have confirmed that Ivan Toney IS one of the striker situations still being watched by Chelsea for THIS month. The interest in Toney remains, and Chelsea are sensing a potential opportunity to get a good deal done for him this month because he wants to leave and has not advanced towards any club yet.
“Toney has always been open to joining Chelsea, but we have not been top of his list of clubs to join. Chelsea have board members who are FOR Toney, and some that are against it.
“But despite his age profile, Chelsea ARE still looking at a potential late move for Toney if a situation and opportunity arises.”
Signing Toney would bring the Blues a player who certainly knows how to find the net in the Premier League.
Nicolas Jackson expected to start the season
The current plan looks to be that Nicolas Jackson will start the season up front, however his place is under more competition right now than he perhaps will have expected.
Youngster Marc Guiu impressed greatly during pre-season, and he will certainly be pushing for involvement of some description when the Blues take on Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
