It has been no secret that Chelsea have not been afraid to spend big money on new signings since the new owners came in.
Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali have twice already smashed the club’s transfer record since taking over in 2022 with the additions of Enzo Fernandez and later Moises Caicedo.
The ownership are delighted by Caicedo’s performance levels, and have made a number of other additions that they are very excited by.
Some of those have not even joined the first team setup yet. A lot of money has been invested into the stars of tomorrow as well as those who can immediately help their fortunes.
The two highlight names of that regime so far have been Estevao Willian and Kendry Paez, both already full internationals for Brazil and Ecuador respectively.

Chelsea think they’ve ‘hit the jackpot’ with Kendry Paez and Estevao Willian
A number of other top clubs were reportedly interested in a deal to sign both top youngsters. Fabrizio Romano has hinted the negotiations to sign Estevao were ‘crazy’.
Graeme Bailey has exclusively told The Chelsea Chronicle that Chelsea believe they have hit the jackpot with both signings, and they are in line to play a role for the first team as soon as next season.
He said: “What I’m hearing about Estevao and Kendry Paez – Chelsea are making sure that there’s going to be room for those two guys next summer to mature. The excitement I’m hearing from some Chelsea sources about those two, they think they’ve hit the jackpot, especially with Estevao. They think they’ve beaten Real Madrid and Barcelona to Estevao.
“They’re going to make sure those two have everything they need to push for first team football, and if it means making room for them in the squad, some of them could find themselves the odd man out.
“The feeling I’ve been told is that they’re not putting undue pressure on them, but the level they’re at right now, they’re good enough for the first team. You can’t underestimate how excited Chelsea are.”
Chelsea not done with signing young talents
Estevao has engaged on social media with Cole Palmer a number of times since his move was confirmed, and fans will no doubt be relishing the prospect of seeing the duo on the pitch together next season.
Paez will also be well-acquainted with one of Chelsea’s first team stars already, with him featuring alongside Caicedo a number of times at international level.
Both youngsters are being tipped for great things, and there will no doubt be more in the works that could shape the future of Chelsea for years to come.
