Reports have claimed that Chelsea are now aware that it won’t be cheap if they want to bring in Evan Ferguson in January.
According to TalkSPORT, any potential deal will force the club to smash their transfer record in order to pull it off.
It has been widely claimed that a striker is on the agenda at Stamford Bridge for either January or the end of the season.

Ferguson is a left-field name they have been linked with, following an impressive 12 months or so from the teenager.
He has been touted for a rise to the top, described by Alan Shearer as the next ‘superstar’.
News in the last week or so claimed that he had just put pen to paper on a new contract to extend the length of his stay on the south coast.
Club-record fee for Ferguson
This will make things trickier to get a deal done, and it has now been claimed that it will take a bid in excess of the one that secured Moises Caicedo’s services over the summer.
Chelsea have plenty of experience dealing with Brighton as far as transfers go in recent seasons. They will also be well aware that the club normally get what they want as far as valuations go.
With the price tag being quoted, Chelsea should look to steer clear of any potential risky deal for Ferguson.
For that money, they would be far better off looking at a player like Victor Osimhen, who looks set to leave Napoli.
His goals have contributed to far greater achievements, and he has the experience at the top level required to make an instant impact at Stamford Bridge.
If they still want to look closer to home, wantaway forward Ivan Toney brings them sure-fire Premier League goalscoring ability from just down the road in West London.
