There is plenty of excitement already at Stamford Bridge over some of the players they will be adding to their squad at the end of this season.

Despite the transfer window being months away from opening, deals already completed by Chelsea will see Estevao Willian and Kendry Paez join the first team squad.

Estevao is expected to play under Enzo Maresca as soon as next season, with there faith he can turn into a generational talent when he moves to West London.

Paez has started training at Cobham already ahead of his move, after the Blues asked Paez to move early in order to get ready for his career as a Premier League player.

However, there is not the same optimism that he will make an impact next season though. In fact, it has been reported Chelsea chiefs want to send Paez on loan, with Strasbourg the likely destination for him to develop.

The Blues have already signed a plethora of young talent, and it has been reported that they are keen on adding Gabriel Mec to their ranks too.

According to TBR Football, Chelsea view Mec as a player too good to turn down signing, with the Gremio winger also wanted by Barcelona.

The Brazilian can feature anywhere behind the striker in attack, a profile very similar to Paez, who has established himself as a regular for the senior Ecuador national team.

Without the assurances that Estevao seemingly has though, it will be worrying for the wonderkid already that the Blues are looking at another young talent who features in a similar role to him.

Chelsea have history with Gabriel Mec

Chelsea were close to signing the 16-year-old last summer just after he had announced himself as a first team player with Gremio.

It was even reported the Blues had closed a deal for Mec, however he never ended up committing his future to Stamford Bridge.

Mec was open to joining Chelsea, however is now believed to be in no rush when it comes to choosing his next club.

Signing top youngsters will seemingly always remain the plan under Todd Boehly and co, however Chelsea should look to avoid causing unrest to any they have already added, especially when they are amongst the most exciting players the club have.
