Despite things not going according to plan for Chelsea in the present day, high levels of excitement remain about the future at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are set to add two of the most promising players in world football to their squad in the form of Estevao Willian and Kendry Paez.

Chelsea think they’ve ‘hit the jackpot’ with the two South Americans. Both have featured for their national team, with the Ecuadorian playing 17 times already at the age of just 17.

Kendry Paez to train at Chelsea for the rest of the season

Paez made his mark at last year’s Copa America, with Chelsea fans convinced they had found a superstar after he scored in the group stages of the competition.

It was reported that Chelsea were keen on Paez moving to Europe early in order to prepare him for top-level football from next season.

This looked set to be accelerated as he was pictured at Cobham yesterday for the very first time.

Fabrizio Romano has explained that he will remain at the training ground from now until before he moves to the club officially in June, working under Chelsea staff in the process.

He said: “Kendry Páez, at Cobham from now on to start adapting to European football ahead of Chelsea move in June. Kendry (2007) signed for Chelsea in 2023 for €20m package, main part in add-ons. He’s now gonna work under Chelsea staff indications, preparing for next season.”

Will Kendry Paez leave Chelsea on loan?

While it looks certain that Estevao will remain with Enzo Maresca’s side next season, the immediate future is not so secure for the Ecuadorian.

It was recently reported that Chelsea were considering loaning Paez to Strasbourg this summer, with them having a good track record of players developing at their sister club.

Andrey Santos has established himself as one of the best young midfielders in the world during his time with the Ligue 1 side, while Djordje Petrovic has gone from strength to strength between the sticks.

Whether it is next season or in a couple of years time, it is expected that Paez is going to become a top player, and Chelsea are very excited at the prospect of that being at Stamford Bridge.
