Cole Palmer says £100m Chelsea target is one of his best friends in football

Cole Palmer has revealed who his closest friends in football are, naming one of his Chelsea teammates.

Palmer is best friends with Tosin Adarabioyo, as well as Lewis Fiorini, another former Manchester City player.

Adarabioyo is currently out injured and is unlikely to return until after the international break. Palmer also finds himself in the same situation at this moment in time.

The attacking midfielder also happens to be close to one player Chelsea looked at during the summer transfer window.

Cole Palmer close to Morgan Rogers

Chelsea considered Morgan Rogers when the transfer market was open, but Aston Villa were not interested in selling one of their star players.

Palmer would have been delighted had Chelsea managed to land Rogers, with the two being good friends.

In fact, when asked to name his best friends in the game, the 23-year-old mentioned Rogers alongside Adarabioyo and Fiorini.

Chelsea signing Rogers in the future has not been ruled out. It has been claimed that Maresca could push for £100m-rated Rogers in January.

It would be a surprise, though, if Villa were willing to sell the Englishman in the middle of the season. If he does depart Villa Park, a move is unlikely to happen until next summer.

Cole Palmer names Chelsea teammate as ‘most underrated baller’

Palmer has also discussed one player who does not get enough appreciation.

Discussing who the “most underrated baller” in the game is right now, the England international named another one of his Chelsea teammates, Romeo Lavia.

Honestly, there is no denying Lavia’s ability. Chelsea do not have another midfielder like him.

The way the Belgian can receive the ball under pressure and escape the opposition’s press is exceptional. The only problem is he does not stay fit.

Before Chelsea’s loss to Brighton, Maresca stated that Lavia was better fitness-wise, and he was able to play in that defeat. Hopefully the 21-year-old can remain injury-free now.
