Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has been full of praise for one striker who Chelsea reportedly really want to sign.

He told Sky Italia that he believes Victor Osimhen is the complete attacker, as he prepares to face him in the Champions League tonight.

Osimhen has been strongly linked with a move away from Napoli, after it seems a number of bridges have been burned between the club and player.

While a number of elite clubs will absolutely be interested in signing him, no club has been stronger linked with him than Chelsea.

Their desire to sign a striker has not been kept secret, with Mauricio Pochettino seemingly not happy with his current options up top.

It has been claimed that Osimhen is the dream target, however any efforts to sign him are likely to have to wait until the summer.

Ancelotti praises Osimhen

This has brought reports that they could look elsewhere in the striker market, with options closer to home including Ivan Toney and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Ancelotti meanwhile has been full of praise for the Nigerian international as he prepares for the Champions League match against Napoli tonight.

He said: “Victor Osimhen is a complete attacker, very strong with his head and in transitions. We took all this into account in the first leg, and we will try to take it into account tomorrow too.”

Chelsea will likely have to smash their transfer record in order to bring in the Napoli striker, with that already occurring in the last two transfer windows.

If they are looking to address the issue midway through the season though, they would be best off looking for Toney, with them likely to face competition in that market from Arsenal.
