Despite no longer being at the club, one of the players Chelsea sold remains a popular figure in West London.
Conor Gallagher finally departed the Blues over the summer after a number of transfer windows where it became clear that his future was not at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea will point to the strength they already have in the middle of the park, as well as a doubt over whether the England international would suit the system of new manager Enzo Maresca.

Gallagher thinks he wouldn’t of had a problem under the new boss, however he was moved on to Atletico Madrid, with Joao Felix coming back the other way.
Even though he is not at the club still, it has not been uncommon to hear the midfielder’s name ring around Stamford Bridge, a venue Chelsea are yet to win at in the Premier League this season.
Gallagher admires Chelsea fans
Gallagher has stated that he still shares the same admiration for the supporters that they do to him.
He told The Evening Standard: “That takes me back to my point that I’m really thankful for the support and love Chelsea fans have shown me, not just last season but since my departure.
“I feel a lot of love for the fans.”
Enzo Fernandez important for Enzo Maresca
Enzo Fernandez is already proving important for Maresca in his new side, with competition for places in the middle of the park still high.
The Argentine seemed to struggle on international duty this week, however Chelsea fans will be hoping the boss has a plan to get the best out of him on a regular basis for the Blues.
He has been joined by Moises Caicedo for every game so far this season, however their place will certainly be under threat if Romeo Lavia can keep himself fit.
While currently injured, the young Belgian showed great promise in his first start for the club against Manchester City in the first game of the season.
