Fofana took to Twitter to clarify what actually happened, saying that he actually did meet and greet those who were waiting for their favourite players.
He said: “Hahaha people are crazy I got a call and then I went to put my bag in the bus after that I go take pictures with the fans.”
Supporter discontent is certainly something that Enzo Maresca will be looking to avoid as he gets his job at Stamford Bridge underway.
Maresca was frustrated with the home fans on the opening day of the season, with them voicing their discontent for slow build-up play that is very much a part of his system.
It makes comments from Moises Caicedo a little more interesting from over the summer, where he said at times he preferred playing away from home than at Stamford Bridge.
