Fabrizio Romano has now claimed that there is some big news to tell regarding their transfer situation.

He took to YouTube to state that manager Mauricio Pochettino is going to now play a crucial role in deciding on which players the club sign going forwards.

Pochettino is beginning to turn things around at Chelsea after what was a very difficult start to life back in the capital.

It is now three wins in a row for the Blues in all competitions to take them into the international break, with many thinking the interruption has come at the worst possible time.

The Argentine has begun to find a better balance, particularly in attack over the last few weeks, and this has come as a result of some of the summer additions the club made.

Cole Palmer was signed out of nowhere on deadline day from Manchester City, and now he has become a starter he has scored once and assisted three in three games.

Pochettino to get transfer say

Despite the beginnings of a return to form, no one is getting carried away with expectations and steps needed to be taken in the future.

This includes more transfers, although it seems things are going to be working differently now.

Romano has claimed Pochettino will have far more of a say in what is to come.

He said: “Important news for Chelsea as Mauricio Pochettino is now going to play a crucial role in deciding on transfers and some players, he will have power.

“In the past it was not always like this, Chelsea signed players because they wanted to sign them.”

It remains to be seen who is on the shortlist for January, however one of the strongest links has been to striker Ivan Toney.
