Chelsea are looking to make at least two more big signings to prepare their side for what will be a busy 2025/26 campaign.
The Blues are set for a return to the Champions League, and it has been said they want to compete in cup competitions after early exits last season.
The club have already brought in Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens and Liam Delap to give Enzo Maresca plenty of attacking options for the upcoming campaign.
With Xavi Simons also being strongly targeted, there is ambition for the Blues to build on their success from last season, which culminated with the Club World Cup triumph in the United States.
As they turn their priority to the defence, Jorrel Hato has emerged as a name that has been strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea closing in on Jorrel Hato signing as Ajax set to compromise
The youngster is very keen on a move to West London, and Hato has even rejected other Premier League moves to try and help force through a move to Chelsea.
Transfer expert David Ornstein has now claimed that the Blues are closing in on completing a deal for the defender this summer.
He went on to say that Ajax were expected to compromise on their original asking price for the full-back in the coming days.
He said: “Chelsea closing in on deal to sign Jorrel Hato from Ajax. Agreement between Chelsea and Ajax yet to be reached but getting nearer – compromise expected in coming days on price above €40m. Personal terms in place for 19yo Netherlands defender.”
The Blues have been long-term admirers of the defender, and look set to beat the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool to the deal.

How Chelsea feel about potential Hato deal
Chelsea see Hato as a ‘priority’ signing at this stage, with it clear that there was a need for a backup for Marc Cucurella in the squad.
This is due to Renato Veiga’s expected departure from Stamford Bridge, after he decided to leave on loan just six months into his tenure at the club.
The Blues see Hato as a Veiga replacement, however his previous appearances at Ajax could see them tempted to use him in a slightly different way.
The Dutchman could play as a centre-back, featuring alongside Cucurella in a potential new-look backline with the likes of Levi Colwill and Reece James.
