Newcastle United and Chelsea face off this Saturday afternoon at St James’ Park.

Newcastle and Chelsea lock horns tomorrow in the Premier League, with just four points separating them in the table right now.

Newcastle needed the recent international break after a mini dip in form. Eddie Howe’s side are usually imperious at home and have some players returning from injury, though.

As for Chelsea, there’s been some very positive signs in recent results. Can Mauricio Pochettino’s side pick up where they left off straight after the break?

Newcastle vs Chelsea score prediction

It may surprise some people to hear David Seaman go with a Chelsea away win at Newcastle.

“I’ll go 2-0 Chelsea,” he said on the Seaman Says podcast.

Elsewhere, speaking via The Overlap recently, Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville predicted a Newcastle win over Chelsea.

Team news

Chelsea head coach Pochettino did provide some interesting team news in Friday’s pre-match press conference before the weekend.

Pochettino confirmed that Levi Colwill is back and available for the Blues squad versus Newcastle, as quoted by Football London.

There’s been a lot of speculation this week suggesting that Christopher Nkunku and Romeo Lavia could finally return from injuries themselves to make Saturday’s matchday squad. But Pochettino confirmed earlier today that Nkunku and Lavia won’t be involved in any shape at St James’ Park (Chelsea’s YouTube channel).

It was a real chore putting together a predicted line-up earlier in the season for games, but there’s no doubt that the manager is finding a formula he likes now with a similar crop of players. We’re suspecting a pretty similar to the team that recorded the thrilling 4-4 draw at home to Manchester City a couple of weeks ago.
