Didier Drogba has given his seal of approval to Mesut Ozil’s all-mighty protest against the criticism being direct towards Cristiano Ronaldo.
Drogba responded on Twitter to Ozil’s outburst, who required three separate posts to deliver his message in regards to the angry mob following Ronaldo around.
In the series of passionate tweets, Ozil claimed ‘the media is just trying to get clicks, and pundits who don’t have a career anymore just want to get attention with his big name and try to make him look bad,’ in regards to his former Real Madrid teammate.

He then went on to suggest that people should not be surprised he ‘doesn’t scored 50 goals anymore’ due to his age.
“I don’t think anyone from the new generation will be able to match his numbers again. He will forever be in his own category. Everyone should show more respect to one of the greatest athletes in sports history…” signed off the ex-Arsenal attacker.
In a much shorter statement, Drogba simply replied to this passage: ‘Well said my brother’.
Didier Drogba defends Cristiano Ronaldo
Ronaldo clearly has his fellow footballing friends in his corner, even if the wider world is seemingly against him.
The 37-year-old has become public enemy number one in numerous circles, due to his dramatic exit from Manchester United.
His interview with Piers Morgan, which involved openly attacking the Old Trafford board, broke the internet, but also broke his relationship with the Red Devils.

United terminated CR7’s contract, thrusting him out into the market as a free agent.
Will Chelsea take a risk on Ronaldo?
Where the five-time Ballon d’Or winner will head to next has been a hot topic of debate in the past few weeks.
Admittedly, Ronaldo’s choices are limited, considering the vast cost it will take to keep his bank account happy.
Chelsea are one of those who could realistically fund the Portugal captain’s financial needs.
Todd Boehly has reportedly already toyed with the idea of adding the infamous number seven to the Stamford Bridge ranks.

This was even before he moved on from Manchester; now he’s available, Boehly might seriously step up his pursuit.
Jorge Mendes, agent to the wantaway World Cup player, has apparently offered his client to Chelsea once before, and may do so once again.
Graham Potter is seemingly opposed to the potential Ronaldo project, yet Boehly’s PR radar may just take precedence.
