Chelsea now have an international break to contend with before they can continue their charge in the Premier League this season.

The Blues sit third in the table after their 1-1 draw with Arsenal, and now look ahead to what is on paper a far easier run of games than the ones they have just played.

Next up is a trip to Leicester City, and a return for manager Enzo Maresca to the side he won the Championship with last season.

The Chelsea Chronicle have given an early prediction for who the boss will name in his starting side that day.

Chelsea predicted XI vs Leicester City

Robert Sanchez is still frustrating Chelsea fans with his performances, but will continue with the backing of Maresca for this game.

Another two weeks’ break will hopefully allow Reece James to operate in the more advanced of the two wing-back roles against Leicester.

Against his former club, Wesley Fofana will be looking to keep up his strong start to the season. Fofana believes the game against Arsenal was his best peformance for Chelsea.

He will again be joined by Levi Colwill at the back, whose passing is continuing to be a real asset for the side building up from the back.

On the left, Marc Cucurella looks undroppable after his sensational performance up against Bukayo Saka.

Moises Caicedo has been an ever-present in the middle of the park this season, and that run will continue for the Blues in this one.

Enzo Fernandez is pushing for a return to the starting side, however Romeo Lavia will be preferred after the World Cup winner’s extensive national team travels.

Ahead of those two, Cole Palmer will look to get back to goalscoring ways after a quiet couple of games by his standards.

Pedro Neto will make the move out to the right-wing, where he seemed to perform even better during his great display against the Gunners.

Jadon Sancho to return for Chelsea vs Leicester

The opposite wing will see the return of Jadon Sancho, who Enzo Maresca has already described as ‘special’.

Up front, Nicolas Jackson will be trying to add to his six Premier League goals and three assists in the competition.
