Alan Shearer was left amazed by the performance he’s just seen from Chelsea’s Cole Palmer.
Chelsea secured a much-needed victory a few days ago, beating Sheffield United 2-0 at home in the Premier League.
Cole Palmer, who’s enjoying an excellent debut campaign for the Blues, put in yet another eye-catching display.
The 21-year-old attacker scored and assisted to cap a great performance.
It means tthat the left-footed playmaker now has six goals and five assists from only 16 Chelsea appearances.

Alan Shearer reaction
Shearer included Palmer in his latest Premier League Team of the Week segment.
He thought that the England international was a cut above the rest in Chelsea’s win versus Sheffield United.
Shearer wrote via the Premier League’s official website: “Cole Palmer (Chelsea) – Easily the best player on the pitch, he kept things ticking in attack with a goal and an assist.”
Cole Palmer against Sheffield United
If Chelsea do anything positive going forward nowadays, Palmer’s usually involved in some capacity.
Speaking via the official club website after Saturday’s win, Conor Gallagher hailed Blues teammate Palmer after yet another brilliant display this season.
Palmer pulls the strings in the final third with his composure and class. His efficiency and end product is making him one of the first names on the team sheet under Mauricio Pochettino.
His £40million summer signing (Sky Sports) from rivals Manchester City is looking better and better with every single appearance he makes in a Chelsea shirt.
Our hope is that the youngster brings his A-game for tonight’s massive Carabao Cup quarter-final tie at home to Newcastle United. We need some of his other teammates to step up to the plate, too.
The Blues are going to need the likes of Palmer, Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Jackson to be in the mood against a quality Newcastle side.
