Rafael Leao has been rated as a better player than Romelu Lukaku, which should make for interesting reading for Chelsea fans.
Leao and Lukaku, who play for AC Milan and Inter Milan, respectively, are two talented Serie A forwards.
90min report that Chelsea are confident they’ll be able to sign Leao from AC Milan, with the attacker’s contract negotiations stalling at the San Siro.
The 23-year-old left-winger is a real talisman for Italian giants AC Milan, scoring seven goals and making nine assists in 20 appearances so far this season.
As for Lukaku, he’s returned this year for another spell with Inter Milan after Chelsea decided to send him out on loan.
The 29-year-old centre-forward only has two goals in five games this season during a campaign that’s been wrecked by injury, but he’s fit enough to be named in Belgium’s squad for the World Cup this winter.

Leao rated better than Lukaku
ESPN’s World Cup rank, which lists the top 50 players participating in the international tournament, has included the aforementioned duo.
Lukaku, ranked 43rd, is someone you should expect to be in the running for the World Cup’s golden boot.
Chelsea fans are understandably not too keen on him as a player after a difficult season at Stamford Bridge last year, which ended with him leaving on loan this summer.
However, you can’t ignore his incredible record of 68 goals in 102 Belgium caps.
Despite Lukaku’s experience and quality, Chelsea target Leao actually comes in above him at the 28th spot on ESPN’s list.
Leao has zero goals in 11 Portugal caps during a quiet international career to date, but he enters this World Cup tournament in red-hot form with his club.

Described as “electric” by Fikayo Tomori, Leao is someone Chelsea should keep a very close eye on during Portugal’s World Cup fixtures.
The skilful and rapid winger did play against Graham Potter’s side twice earlier this season, with Milan losing both games against Chelsea in the Champions League group stages.
Reece James did a good job nullifying Leao’s threat in those contests, but there were still glimpses of his star quality when he gets the ball at his feet.
The way Chelsea’s attack has performed this season suggests they still need more firepower at the top end of the pitch.
