Chelsea fans should trust the process

It’s a lovely idea to trust the process at Stamford Bridge and wait for the owner’s dreams to come true.

We all know football isn’t quite as simple as that, though.

It’s pretty obvious that Chelsea fans will have to go through some pain before enjoying success again, but perhaps there’s logic behind the unique approach.

Blues head coach Mauricio Pochettino is tasked with gelling together this extremely young squad of players. It’s quite telling when you’re looking around the group at players such as Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell as the hugely experienced individuals.

Everybody has been used to judging Chelsea by certain standards in the past couple of decades, but the goalposts have now moved slightly.

Influential Enzo Fernandez

We’re looking at Fernandez as one of Chelsea’s youngsters with a huge role to play moving forward in the club’s future. It’s great to hear him some positively vocal both on and off the pitch.

The 22-year-old midfielder’s already showing immense leadership skills. For example, he intervened superbly well in Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Arsenal when Cole Palmer and Raheem Sterling were debating the penalty taker.

Fernandez is a nailed-on starter in the midfield with his quality. We’re loving the understanding he’s developing alongside Moises Caicedo and Conor Gallagher, too.

The Daily Mail reported last week that Fernandez has statistically been Chelsea’s best player so far this season.

We’re going to see what level this Blues side really is with upcoming Premier League games against Brentford, Tottenham and Manchester City.
