It looks like Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca feels really bad for one of his players.
Chelsea have quite a large squad, meaning a lot of members of the club’s dressing room have been overlooked this season.
For example, Renato Veiga has only been able to make one start in the Premier League. It is now being reported that Veiga could join Borussia Dortmund.
The likes of Ben Chilwell and Carney Chukwuemeka have not featured at all, with neither clearly being in Enzo Maresca‘s plans.

Enzo Maresca not happy with Ben Chilwell situation
Chilwell has made just one appearance for Chelsea this season, which came in a Carabao Cup tie back in September.
Nevertheless, Maresca says the defender has remained “very professional” and has admitted that he feels “shame” over the whole situation.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, the Chelsea head coach said: “He has been top. I have to say that; very professional, works hard. I feel shame because of that situation but in terms of behaviour, he has been very good.”
Maresca also gave an update on Veiga’s future amid all of the speculation linking him with a move to Dortmund this month.

Why Chelsea could be stuck with Ben Chilwell
Simply put, Chilwell needs to get out of Chelsea. Maresca is not a fan of the England international, who is too good and too high profile to spend an entire season on Chelsea’s bench.
The former Leicester City man has missed so much football over the last few years as well because of injuries. Now that he is fit again, he surely wants to be playing.
From Chelsea’s side of things, they need to ditch Chilwell because of his wages. The 28-year-old is one of the club’s highest earners despite now being a fringe player, if you can even call him that.
The problem is, though, because of those wages, Chelsea could struggle to offload Chilwell during this transfer window.
If Veiga departs Stamford Bridge this month, that could afford Maresca to hand Chilwell more minutes. But it is clear that he does not fancy him, so that seems unlikely.
