A number of first team players are expected to leave Chelsea this month as they make the appropriate moves to strengthen their side.

It has been reported that a new centre-back is right at the top of their list of priorities. Marc Guehi and a recall for Trevoh Chalobah have been mentioned as potential options.

For a big-name signing though, it is likely a few exits will have to be confirmed. A number of names have been linked with moves away after picking up limited minutes this season.

Enzo Maresca says he wants to keep Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall at Chelsea

One player who fits that bill is summer signing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, with the midfielder yet to start a Premier League game since making the move.

For this reason, it has been claimed the Englishman could leave the club this month, with him firmly out of favour.

Supporters have been left questioning the £30m fee spent on the former Leicester City man, with the likes of Carney Chukwuemeka and Cesare Casadei also struggling for minutes in the same position.

Despite this, Enzo Maresca has claimed that he believes Dewsbury-Hall has a future at Chelsea, and thinks he is prepared to fight for it for the rest of this season.

He said in his pre-match press conference: “For sure, he has a future with us. Also, because, when you want to send players on loan, it has to be from all the sides; the players, the club and the manager. It is not just about what I want.

“For sure, he has to do that [fight for his place], no doubt. I know Kiernan quite well and he is going to do that.”

Which clubs want to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall?

A number of Premier League clubs are interested in signing Dewsbury-Hall this month, with him clearly having the quality to compete at the top level.

West Ham are reportedly keen on Dewsbury-Hall, with them building for a future under former Chelsea manager Graham Potter.

The Chelsea Chronicle have predicted the midfielder will start in tomorrow’s FA Cup tie against Morecambe, with him perhaps playing for his future at Stamford Bridge.
