Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca already knows how he is going to use Joao Pedro against certain teams next season.
Chelsea signed Pedro from Brighton & Hove Albion at the start of the month, and the forward has made an immediate impact.
Pedro scored against Paris Saint-Germain in the Club World Cup final to help the Blues win 3-0. Before that, he grabbed a brace in a 2-0 victory over Fluminense.
Pedro has quickly developed a partnership with Cole Palmer, which will worry Chelsea’s biggest rivals.

Enzo Maresca plans to unleash Joao Pedro against low blocks
Some of the clubs lower down the Premier League table may also have to be concerned about Pedro when they take on Chelsea next season.
Maresca plans to really utilise the 23-year-old against teams who like to use a low defensive block.
“I can say Joao is an amazing player,” Maresca was quoted as saying by Chelsea’s official website. “We can really use him against teams that defend in a very low block with no spaces, because he’s really good in tight spaces.”
Pedro is just one of three senior strikers whom Maresca can call upon, with the Chelsea manager also having Liam Delap and Nicolas Jackson at his disposal.
However, Pedro is someone whom the team can really trust, according to former Chelsea midfielder Andy Townsend. There is also no guarantee that Jackson will still be at the club by the end of the transfer window.
Jackson may have to push for a move after falling down the centre-forward pecking order at Stamford Bridge.

What Enzo Maresca has said about rest of Chelsea squad following Club World Cup success
Maresca has praised all of his players after their victory over PSG. Chelsea have had a very successful season after also winning the Conference League and finishing fourth in the Premier League table, and Maresca is refusing to take all of the credit for those achievements.
“It’s been a fantastic season, but I’m especially happy for the players,” he said. “One year ago, when I joined the club I said that I was in love with this squad and it was true.
“But talent is not enough — you need sacrifice, you need togetherness, you need a game plan where all the players think in the same way. So, it’s just because of them.”
The Blues have set the standard now. Next term, they have to win another trophy while perhaps challenging for the Premier League title. With the likes of Pedro and Palmer in their squad, it is not impossible.
