Erik ten Hag has delivered a glowing verdict on Fulham’s Andreas Pereira, who’s been linked as a Chelsea transfer target this week.

Andreas Pereira, 27, is an attacking midfielder that has found a real home at Craven Cottage this season.

The Brazilian playmaker completed a £10million transfer, as quoted by Sky Sports, from Manchester United to Fulham last summer, which has been the perfect move in his career.

Manchester United boss Ten Hag was full of praise for Fulham’s key individual a few weeks ago.

”Andreas Pereira is a really good player,” Ten Hag told Man United’s official website.

”I [have] known him already a long time, I had him in the youth team at PSV, before he transferred to Manchester United.

”I am really happy for him and that he is progressing that well. I think it was the right step for him as I think he has to play on a regular basis.”

ESPN report that Chelsea are currently monitoring Fulham star Pereira, with the Blues on the search for potential Mason Mount replacements.

The South American creator struggled to really make a name for himself at Old Trafford in Man United colours, which is why he was sent out on several loan spells during over a decade at the club.

However, a move to London has seen him find some of his best form in recent months.

He’s contributed three goals and six assists in 32 games games across all competitions this season. Plus, he offers a lot both in and out of possession to Marco Silva’s Fulham team.

Pereira is a set-piece specialist proving he can make a strong impact in England’s top division.

We don’t think he’s the kind of summer signing that would excite the Chelsea fanbase, though.

Tony Cascarino suggests Chelsea could look to sell Mount, but we don’t think Pereira is a suitable replacement if he does exit Stamford Bridge.
