Every Chelsea youngster on international duty, including 10-goal striker and U21s hero

As well as the first team squad, there will be a number of Chelsea youngsters representing their countries during the international break.

Enzo Maresca again sees a lot of his first team squad disappear due to the quality they possess, and it comes at the worst possible time amid an injury crisis at Stamford Bridge.

The boss will likely be quite pleased to see Reece James withdraw from the England squad, as well as the likes of Joao Pedro being dropped for upcoming fixtures.

For those who are with the academy though, there is another opportunity on the cards to show what they can do, with the highlight performer so far being Shumaira Mheuka.

Every Chelsea youngster selected for international duty

The striker has 10 goals in as many games this season, and Mheuka starred during the last international break for the England U19s.

He will be back with the Young Lions, with Jesse Derry joining him in that squad after his late winner for the U21s.

The England U20s squad has wide Chelsea representation too, with Kiano Dyer, Harrison McMahon and Harrison Murray-Campbell being called up.

Landon Emenalo, who was on the bench for Chelsea against Liverpool due to the defensive injury crisis, will also be on international duty, this time for the U18s.

The U21s will feature three regular first team players, with Jamie Gittens, Tyrique George and Josh Acheampong called up.

It remains to be seen if the defender will feature after Acheampong suffered an injury in the win over Liverpool.

Chelsea decided to keep Genesis Antwi on deadline day despite interest from elsewhere, and he has been chosen to represent Sweden’s Under 21s.

The final young Blue who will be with their international teammates for the break is Marc Guiu. After making his first appearance for Chelsea, he will be with the Spain U21s for the coming days.
