At present, there seems to be a lot of friction between Chelsea co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali.
It has been claimed that Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali’s relationship hasn’t been good for a while.
As a result, there is now talk about Boehly and Clearlake Capital, who were co-founded by Eghbali, trying to buy each other out.
Amid the reported tension between Chelsea’s owners, Fabrizio Romano has been discussing what this means for the club’s recruitment.

Business as usual on the recruitment front at Chelsea
It is believed that Chelsea’s recruitment policy is one thing causing tension at the club right now.
However, according to Romano, those involved in recruitment at Chelsea have been told to continue doing what they are doing.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, the Italian journalist said: “I can guarantee that, as of today, despite all these reports on Chelsea owners situation, the technical staff still have very clear indications. Continue with the current idea, continue with the current plan, keep looking for top talents for the future, keep working on this model.”
Chelsea’s recruitment team were extremely busy during the summer transfer window, making 11 signings in total.
Chelsea’s recruitment policy starting to pay off
Since Boehly and Clearlake took over Chelsea, the club have mostly targeted young players who have the potential to develop into top footballers.
There have been a lot of misses, such as Mykhailo Mudryk. He has really struggled at Stamford Bridge, with Enzo Maresca recently demanding more from Mudryk.
However, some of the acquisitions made under this ownership are really starting to look like hits, such as Noni Madueke.
He made quite a slow start to life at Chelsea, managing to score just one league goal for the Blues back in the 2022/23 season.
Of course, the winger was only at Chelsea for half of that campaign, but at one stage it was starting to look like he was a bit of a pointless signing. However, Madueke has really come to life this term and costing the Blues £30m, he is now coming across as a bargain.
The 22-year-old has already scored four goals this season, which includes his hat-trick against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.
