‘Fantastic’ Chelsea player named in Premier League Team of the Week along with Moises Caicedo

Chelsea’s record at Old Trafford recently has been pretty poor, so perhaps their 1-1 draw away to Manchester United on the weekend wasn’t a bad result.

Chelsea picked up a point on the road during Sunday’s draw at Man United in the Premier League. As a result, the Blues still haven’t won a league match at Old Trafford since 2013.

Enzo Maresca’s side were heading for a defeat in Manchester before Moises Caicedo, 23, equalised with a stunning volley from outside the box at the weekend.

Troy Deeney said Caicedo had his best Chelsea game versus Man United. While that may be up for debate, there’s no doubt that the all-action central midfielder was fantastic as he continued his recent form.

Chelsea were miles from their best in the underwhelming draw against Man United, but some individuals still managed to impress.

Speaking after the weekend’s result, Robbie Mustoe claimed Chelsea’s Fofana has the potential to be “world-class”. The 23-year-old defender has cemented his spot as a key starter in Maresca’s back four next to Levi Colwill, but he’s got to prove fitness and consistency after a challenging couple of years at Stamford Bridge.

Maresca has called Chelsea star Fofana “fantastic” this season for the way he’s performing after long-term injury layouts.
