Arsenal loanee Folarin Balogun has responded to Chelsea’s Noni Madueke after he scored for the Blues at the Emirates on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old commented his praise with an emoji on Instagram after the Blue opened his account for his new club.

Balogun has been enjoying an extremely successful campaign on loan this season, scoring 18 goals for Reims in Ligue 1.

Meanwhile, opportunities have been tough to come by for Madueke since he took the opportunity to move from Stamford Bridge from PSV.

The youngster may have begun to regret his decision to move from the Dutch side after seeing how successful their season has been under Ruud van Nistelrooy.

However, he was thrown in, admittedly at the deep end, for the travels to the Emirates in the week.

Supporters’ worst nightmares were beginning to come true in the first half, as they found themselves 3-0 down in record time.

The Blues did at least steady the ship in the second 45, with Madueke finding the net for the first time since his transfer.

With the games seemingly meaning very little for the rest of the campaign, it is hard to make a case for the England U21 international to not feature far more in the final few league games.

Frank Lampard has already hinted that the winger will be handed more minutes in the coming weeks, although the run of fixtures they have will suggest that some more tough afternoons are in the making.

He should be operated in a wide area in a similar way to how fellow January addition Mykhailo Mudryk should be playing far more on the opposite side.

The Ukraine international again impressed in a cameo performance against Arsenal, despite having a laser consistently shined in his eyes as he looked to attack.
