Former Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia sends message to Thomas Tuchel after being announced as England manager

Marina Granovskaia has reacted on social media to the gigantic news in football this week that former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has been announced as the new England manager.

Thomas Tuchel, who had an 18-month spell at Stamford Bridge earlier in his managerial career, is still widely loved by the Chelsea fanbase. A large reason for that is because he guided them to their second ever Champions League trophy in 2021.

It’s now been confirmed by the FA on Wednesday morning that Tuchel has been appointed England head coach from 1 January 2025. As a result, the German’s become the third non-English manager to take the job after Sven-Goran Eriksson and Fabio Capello.

Interestingly, Sky journalist Kerry Hau explained that Tuchel loves England from his time at Chelsea.

Marina Granovskaia message to Thomas Tuchel

Marina Granovskaia, the very successful former Chelsea director, has reacted on Instagram to England appointing Tuchel as their new manager.

She wrote: “Thomas knows trophies. Congratulations TT and England. World Cup 2026 just got more exciting!”
