Frank Leboeuf has made his score prediction ahead of Chelsea against Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening.

Chelsea host London rivals Palace tonight in a Premier League fixture at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have dropped down to 11th in the table because of three defeats in their previous four league games, including a 2-1 loss away to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Christmas Eve.

Meanwhile, Palace sit 15th and haven’t won a game since 4 November.

Prediction time

ESPN pundit Frank Leboeuf has predicted his former club Chelsea to record a narrow win at home to Palace in midweek.

He’s tipped Christopher Nkunku, 26, to score again after netting during his Premier League debut versus Wolves a few days ago.

When predicting the Chelsea vs Palace game, Leboeuf told ESPN: “1-0, Nkunku goal. Thank you very much.”

If Chelsea lose tonight, we’re seriously starting to worry about Pochettino!

Chelsea vs Crystal Palace

Chelsea are on a phenomenal 12-game winning streak against tonight’s opponents Palace. The last time they actually failed to beat them was back in 2017.

Let’s hope that Mauricio Pochettino’s side can keep the trend going this evening, but we don’t feel much confidence from within the fanbase at this moment in time.

Nkunku’s recent return may be the only glimmer of light during this really tough spell.

The French forward scored a great header as a consolation goal against Wolves, so we’re wondering if he’s fit enough yet to start a match?

Speaking via Chelsea’s official website recently, Blues head coach Pochettino said that Nkunku’s best position is more centrally either as a No 10 or No 9.

Chelsea are a team that are still really struggling at times with their end product in the final third, so it feels vital that they get Nkunku into as many goalscoring opportunities as possible whenever he’s on the pitch.

With Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer both unavailable through suspension against Palace, Chelsea may need to accelerate the Nkunku comeback.
