New Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has not been shy to let some players know that they are not part of his plans for this season.

The Blues completed a large amount of sales and loans away late in the window of players who were not likely to get any minutes at Stamford Bridge this season.

The likes of Raheem Sterling and Trevoh Chalobah moved on in the final hours of deadline day, with them set for minutes at their new Premier League sides.

They were unable to move some figures on though, with them still making efforts to offer players out to countries where their transfer window remains open.

One of those who fits into this category is Ben Chilwell, who is yet to be named in a matchday squad this season.

Ben Chilwell could return to Chelsea Premier League squad

The Blues have offered Chilwell to multiple clubs in Turkey, however there has so far been no interest in bringing him in.

However, according to The Telegraph, there is now a chance that he is named in the Premier League squad for the season, with him helping fill their homegrown quota.

Chilwell was reportedly hoping to at least be given his chances to impress in the Conference League this season, however he was left out of that squad too despite a number of key players being rested.

Marc Cucurella first choice at Chelsea

Marc Cucurella has very much proven himself to be the number one option for the left-back position at Stamford Bridge, with him in very good form for both club and country.

Renato Veiga has also seen himself leapfrog the England international in the pecking order for the position, with Chelsea fans very happy with that signing.

From being a vice-captain just months ago, it still looks as if there is no real future for Chilwell in West London for the upcoming season.
